A little bit about me

I’m Ryne Andal, a 38-year old husband, father, senior software engineer and independent consultant living in Valencia, Spain. I’ve spent 15+ years building, maintaining, debugging, and modernizing software systems across backend engineering, infrastructure, data pipelines, and developer tooling.

I try to write about the parts of software work that live between the neat abstractions: legacy systems, automation, reverse engineering, AI-assisted workflows, security-adjacent research, and the practical realities of keeping complex systems understandable.

Currently residing in Valencia, Spain on a digital nomad visa. Husband to a beautiful wife and father to four wonderful children, two cats, and a dog.
